Kathie Lee Gifford’s Son Celebrates First Thanksgiving with Baby Who Became a ‘Blessing’ After Losing His Father.
Cody Gifford and his wife, Erika Gifford, spent their first Thanksgiving with their gorgeous newborn son, Frank “Frankie” Gifford Jr. on November 24, 2022. To commemorate the occasion, the couple posted photos of their son on social media.
Kathie Lee Gifford’s sister-in-law shared the cutest close-up photo of the baby with her mouth open in an Instagram Story post. Little Frank Jr. seemed to be hungry for some Thanksgiving food!
Cody’s wife also took to Instagram to share two adorable pictures of the little one dressed in his best Thanksgiving attire, which included tails and a turkey. Frank Jr. in the first picture he had his foot in his mouth, and in the second his sweet tongue was showing!
The toddler’s mother said their literal and metaphorical plates and hearts were full. She said they “gobbled up this little turkey” (their child) anyway.
Erica also stated that they will be eternally grateful to Jesus for their greatest blessing, Frank Jr. This was another holiday the Giffords couldn’t enjoy in the absence of the name of their new son and Kathie Lee’s husband, Frank Gifford Sr.
Frank Sr. was an Emmy Award-winning athlete and legendary former New York Giants player, but he was just a father to his children. The actor had a total of 5 children, the youngest of whom were Cody and Cassidy from his marriage to Kathie Lee.
Frank Sr. passed away suddenly on August 9, 2015, leaving his family devastated. When he passed away, his family was extremely surprised and had to deal with the loss and their own feelings of grief.
Cody, then 25, saw his dad as an ideal role model, inspiring him to follow in his father’s footsteps. Erica’s husband attended the University of Southern California and played football.
Wellington Mara, former co-owner of the New York Giants, reportedly described Frank Sr. as a son that every parent would love to have, says the late star’s son. Mara also stated that Cody’s father was the kind of father any child would love to have.
Cody agreed with Mara, saying he was “beyond words” excited that Frank Sr. His sister described him as “that legend”, not only her father, but the most giving and compassionate human being she had ever known.
Despite the love that Frank Sr.’s children had for him, his wife was surprised to learn that her grandson would be named after him. The former co-host of the “Danas” program expressed reservations about the name.
Frank Jr., Cody’s first child with his wife, was born on May 31, 2022; his name was the same as his late grandfather’s. Kathie Lee, who will be 69 in 2022, admitted she had no idea her grandson would be named after her late husband.

However, the former TV star admitted that Cody will most likely never recover from his father’s deɑth. Kathie Lee mentioned how the late star’s son lost her at a young age and how he was and remains his hero.
Cody’s mother expressed her excitement in an Instagram post about her son’s birth. She was excited about a new and beautiful era of her life!
