Family members of Bruce Willis are speaking openly about their pain on the actor’s birthday this year, which comes only one month after he was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.

Emma Heming Willis, the actor’s wife, uploaded an emotional video commemorating Bruce Willis’ 68th birthday on Instagram on March 19, despite his current health concerns.

It’s her husband’s birthday today. She began the morning sobbing, as seen by her puffy eyes and runny nose, as she remarked at the opening of the video. She simply believes it’s vital to look at everything.

Heming Willis added that she regularly gets letters that tell her, she doesn’t know how she does this, to which she answers, she is not given a choice. She wishes she was, but she is also parenting two children, so in their lives, they have to put their big girl pants on and go to work.

She said that she has sad days every day. Every day is a day of grief. And she’s feeling it especially strongly now, on his birthday.

The 44-year-old model said that the feelings arose as she was preparing a video for her husband’s birthday.

She said that she is not sure why she did it to herself since the videos are like a dagger in her heart. But she does it because she knows how much one loves her husband, and that means a lot to her, so thank you.

Heming Willis published the video she was producing in a second Instagram post, which contained a montage of footage paired to Stevie Wonder’s song “As.”

She said in the post that her birthday wish for Bruce is that one keep him in one’s prayers and greatest vibes, as his sensitive Pisces spirit will sense it. Thank you for loving and caring for him as well.

Scout LaRue Willis, Bruce Willis’ 31-year-old daughter with ex-wife Demi Moore, also posted a poignant Instagram message on her father’s birthday. She shared a snapshot of herself sitting on her father’s shoulders, her face resting on the top of his head.

In her post, she requested that followers give her dad love, affection, care, and prayer, referring to him as one of her greatest friends, the Pisces King, the master of duality, both an action hero icon and a gentle girl dad.

She said thatit is a blessing to have this guy as her father and learn so much from him about life, happiness, mischief, and art.

Scout Willis said that this was not an easy day since it was filled with deep love, adding that their sadness truly does reveal the depth of their devotion for somebody.

Grief is always a price she’ll pay to know what it’s like to experience such love, she wrote. She is extending her love to everybody who has ever been strained by the grandeur of love and the humanity of sadness.

Tallulah Willis, the actor’s 29-year-old daughter with Moore, celebrated her father’s birthday by posting many vintage images of him and one selfie with him on Instagram.

Bruce Willis’ family revealed in March 2022 that he had been diagnosed with aphasia and would be retiring from performing. In February of the following year, his family announced in a joint statement that he had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, also known as FTD. This is a rare kind of dementia that involves the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain.

Heming Willis expressed her gratitude for the assistance that has been offered to her husband and family after attending a banquet for the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration in March.
