Nothing beats seeing your darling girl beam with pride and happiness in her perfect prom dress. Even Korben’s mum couldn’t resist posting a photo of her handsome son, who was 16 at the time, in what was perhaps the greatest outfit of the evening.

Nina Green, the mother of the bespectacled kid, made sure he was the centre of attention by dressing him in a crimson robe and setting him on fire for the evening.

My son, then 12 years old, surprised me by saying he wanted to wear a dress to the school prom. After four years of trying, we finally succeeded,” the mother wrote.

“The reception he got from the entire school was incredible, and I’m so proud of him for being true to himself.”

She posted photos of Korben hitting his finest poses and showing off his angles and tagged Michelle Visage, a judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Korben sported a dramatic red bow tie over a white dress shirt, which he paired with a red sequin suit. But Korben insisted on a dress, so he also acquired a formal gown to go with the outfit.

He accessorised his pixie cut with a tiara. Oh, and he also carried his red and gold clutch.

Twitter users can’t get enough of the boy’s contagious grin and his daring new style.

Michelle Visage, who he caught the eye of, said he looked great.

Korben’s buddy Kirk Willis created the dress. It was modelled by Billy Porter’s famous tuxedo dress from the Met Gala and wore to the 2019 Academy Awards red carpet. According to an interview Korben gave to the Norwich Evening News, “Kirk brought my vision to life – it was exactly what I wanted.”

Several contributors used this to highlight how far things have come. Now, kids like Korben don’t have to worry about being bullied because they don’t fit the gender norms society has set for them.

Korben’s stepfather also joined in, and the two of them were obviously quite pleased with their son. He is so sure in Korben’s strength that he doesn’t even need to avoid “physical confrontation.”

The prom dress he wore was so fantastic that everyone couldn’t stop raving about it.
