Lucian Munguia vanished when his dad was changing his youngest child’s diaper during a family vacation to Sarg Hubbard Park.

On September 10, Juano Munguia took his 3 kids to the park, leaving Lucian to play with his 6-year-old brother nearby.

He returned to the boys’ play area ‘one minute later,’ however Lucian, who has autism and is mainly nonverbal, had left.

The small boy’s body was located on December 29, and his reason for death was determined to be accidental drowning 110 days after he went missing.

The youngster left the playground alone and wandered into the direction of various bodies of water, with dental evidence confirming his remains.

In the days after his disappearance, his family feverishly explored the surroundings, with the assistance of a diving team and police dogs.

In October, Lucian’s mom, Sandra Munguia, offered a $10,000 reward for his safe return, and the family has subsequently established a GoFundMe campaign.

She wished her son a Merry Christmas and added, she wish he was here with them spreading happiness like he would every day of their life, only days before his death was confirmed. Christmas isn’t the same without him.

Juano, his dad, toured the park every morning and waded through bodies of water to see if he might find his kid.

They hate to notify all that Lucian has been discovered, but regrettably, it was with bad news, the family wrote in a statement put online. Their hearts will never be the same, and they will never be the same. They will not be able to address any queries at this time since the family will be unavailable.

They want to thank all for the love and support, especially for Lucian. They will be eternally thankful for one’s assistance.

Yakima Police said that based on the results of the autopsy, there is no evidence of illegal conduct that led to Lucian’s death. Their thoughts and prayers are with Lucian’s family and friends.

Lucian’s parents described him as ‘energetic, extroverted, loving, and brilliant’ as he celebrated his fifth birthday while he was gone.
