Couple’s Disagreement Over Children’s TV Appearances
Amy Slaton, the star of reality series 1000-Lb. Sisters, and her husband Michael Halterman are ending their marriage. According to court documents reported by The Sun, Michael filed for divorce following constant arguments over the past few months.

A source revealed to the publication that Amy wanted their children to continue appearing on the show, while Michael disagreed.

The source said, “Michael doesn’t want the kids to be on the show, but Amy disagrees.”

Family’s Recent Developments

The couple’s separation news comes less than a year after welcoming their second son, Glenn, in July 2022.

When Glenn was born, Amy told People, “The delivery was a huge success, and now I have both of my miracle boys; our family is complete!”

Amy and Michael have known each other since childhood and dated during high school before reuniting and marrying in 2019.

Amy and Sons Move in with Sister Tammy

Reportedly, Amy and her sons moved in with her sister Tammy, another star of the reality show, in February due to marital issues. Tammy, who recently married Caleb Willingham, is allegedly not happy with Amy and her children living with her.

A source told Daily Mail, “Tammy is happy to help Amy but feels like she is raising two kids since they’re around her home all of the time.”
