On Saturday, Aldean performed at Hartford, in Connecticut’s Xfinity Theatre, where the temperature climbed to a whopping 89 degrees.

A video uploaded by fans during the concert showed Aldean struggling to sing at one point before leaving the stage, resulting in dozens of fans worrying about his wellbeing.

However, Aldean is doing fine, according to the venue, which also announced on Sunday that the performance would be postponed to a later date.

“Yesterday’s Jason Aldean show will be rescheduled for a future date,” Xfinity Theatre said in a statement. “We appreciate your patience as we work on rescheduling a new date, as well as the outpouring of well wishes for Jason.”

“A rep confirmed he is now doing well after experiencing a heat stroke during last night’s performance,” they added. “Please stay tuned to all social media for updates as they become available.”

The country singer also took to his Instagram stories on Sunday night to explain to his confused followers what led to the concert being cut short.

“Hey what’s up everybody. Jason here and this is Sunday, I guess,” he said to the camera.

“I’ve had a lot of people checking on me today after hearing about what happened last night at the show in Connecticut.”

“I’m doing fine,” he assured, explaining: “It was hot, I was playing golf all day yesterday and then got to the show and just think it was a combination of dehydration and heat exhaustion.”

“Obviously, it’s not the way I wanted the show to end. Not what I was hoping for on our first week on the tour by any means,” he told his fans.

Concluding his post, he wrote: “Again, I apologize for cutting the show short, but we’ll come back and make it up to you.”

Some thought he may have suffered from heat stroke, but Aldean said that he wasn’t certain the incident was as dangerous as a heat stroke, but it was nevertheless “pretty intense.”

After learning he was recovering well, one fan wrote: “Having gone to shows at this venue, the ventilation stinks. It’s hot and humid no matter what the conditions. I attended an August show once when it was humid and very warm, and I drank close to a gallon of water to stay hydrated. I sweated it all out. I’m glad he’s okay.”

While another said: “I went to dierks last night in south Florida & it was gross. No amount of water could save you! We know what it’s like here in south Florida!! Feel better!”

“Nothing to mess with. The heat is Non forgiving it can take you down so quick!!! He should be resting today and tonight and rescheduled tonight’s show as well…. He will be lucky if the heat doesn’t affect him differently from now on….” a third said.

We’re glad he’s doing ok now, and can’t wait for him to get back on stage when he’s fully rested.
