Ronan Keating’s brother Ciaran has died after being involved in a tragic car accident.
Ciaran, who was in his fifties, died after being involved in a crash with another vehicle at Ballymiles near Swinford in County Mayo in the Republic of Ireland on Saturday July 15.

The BBC reports that Ciaran was travelling with his wife Ann Marie to go and see their son, Ruairí, play football for Cork City Football Club. Ann Marie and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, as did the passenger of the other vehicle.
Cork City Football Club released a statement addressing the tragic incident.
“All at Cork City FC are deeply saddened at the passing of Ciaran Keating, father of our player Ruairí Keating,” they wrote.
“We extend our deepest sympathies to Ruairí and the entire Keating family at this exceptionally difficult time. May he rest in peace.
“We ask that the family’s privacy be respected at this difficult time. Funeral arrangements will be confirmed in due course.”

Following the heartbreaking tragedy, the Mirror reports that Ronan has rushed back to Ireland to support his family.
A friend of the star said that Ronan has “dropped everything” to return home, and is “absolutely devastated” but is “trying to stay strong for the sake of his family”
The forty-six-year-old Boyzone star is the youngest of 5 siblings, and grew up in Bayside in Dublin. His father, Gerry, is a lorry driver, and his mother Marie was a hairdresser before she passed away aged fifty-one after being diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer.
