Due to the teacher’s criticism on his son’s arithmetic assignment, a father started a petition to have the teacher fired.

Chris Piland, the father, was horrified to see the teacher’s comments on his child’s test. Kamdyn, his son, received scathing criticism for his attempts.

The second-grade pupils, who are in year three, were given a list of 600 subtraction problems to do as many times as possible in the allotted three minutes.

The teacher had noted on his son’s test, “Absolutely terrible he answered 13 in 3 min! Sad” with a picture of a sad face next to it.

Piland, a Pennsylvania resident, was furious by the teacher’s remark and made the decision to start a petition to get her fired. There are more than 15,000 signatures on it.

The instructor of my kid Kamdyn has been so disrespectful to him and me the entire year, the father wrote in the caption of a photo of the homework. I am so angry that someone would write this on a child’s assignment that he brings home. This is really a great drive.

Chris claimed in an online post that the school board was looking into the event.

I’m delighted to say that the teacher in question is currently the subject of an investigation by the Valley View school board, thanks to all the hard work and support of the committed people who signed and circulated this petition, he said.

The teacher’s behavior astounded everyone. One commenter wrote:

“This makes me sick, and I don’t even have kids. This is completely inappropriate and unprofessional.

“No teacher has the right to make such vile remarks on a young child’s work,” the student said.

The head of the school, Rose Minniti, stated: “It’s a personnel problem, and the outcome won’t be determined by social media. It will be determined by the facts and the evidence. We always strive to balance what is best for the children with what is necessary to protect the employee who is the subject of the investigation.
