A U.K.-based apparel store is under fire for selling an item that one lady described as causing her “the world’s worst front wedgie.”

On Sunday, a member of the online mother community Mumsnet reported seeing an ad for a ‘Basic V Neck Ruched Front Thong Bodysuit’ on her Facebook for sale at the website Boohoo.com.

“I understand the [bodysuit] trends but surely this would result in being split entirely in two, or the world’s worst front wedgie,” the lady commented, sharing the post on Mumsnet.

The comments section was ready to agree or make jokes of its own, with one user calling the item a “monstrosity” and another simply saying, “Ouch!”

Another user commented, “Boohoo indeed,” on the bodysuit, which comes in a number of colours (though only the white one seems to have the extreme cut). Just looking at that atrocity makes my stomach turn.

“That’s disturbing on so many levels,” said another. “She’s obviously wearing it backwards,” another person guessed. Twitter users quickly weighed in after hearing about the “criminal” apparel.

Whoops! This Tweet was inaccessible to us. According to Yahoo! Style U.K., Boohoo has also received criticism recently for classifying size 8 apparel as “large” on their website.

Boohoo has already written a statement to Fox News on the trend’s success, adding, “The customer demand for the bodysuit is huge and the style in question is selling out quickly.

” Boohoo [has] reacted to the trend by providing a comprehensive online catalogue of fashionable alternatives in a range of sizes and colours, cuts, and patterns.

It’s important to note, however, that Boohoo isn’t the only brand facing criticism for the clothing it sells.

In late January, a high-waisted bikini sold by a U.K. store called Oh Polly caused a stir on the internet, with many criticising the company for its sexy design.

Earlier the same month, an Australian mommy blogger made fun of an online store for selling tiny bikini bottoms, and she subsequently told Fox News that she was “blown away” by the reaction from women who could connect to her experience.

I appreciate how the article has helped so many ladies see that they are wonderful just the way they are. Making others laugh and helping them realise they’re not alone are two of my blog’s primary purposes. I believe I have accomplished that here,” she said.
