When Cote de Pablo appeared at the conclusion of Season 16 of NCIS, she shocked viewers. But the Chilean-born actress got her start in the industry as a TV personality.
De Pablo’s breakout role as Ziva David on NCIS launched a long and fruitful career. She filmed the series for a total of 12 years before moving on.
Cote de Pablo is still active in the entertainment industry today, but the NCIS disappearance mystery has yet to be solved.

“Performance had always interested me, but it took on new significance for me as a means of connecting with people in my new country,” she said. “I didn’t pick up English until I moved to the States.”
Those were the formative years of my life. I’ve always considered myself a bit of a hippy. Truth be told,” de Pablo continued, “I’m not a glamorous guy on the inside.
I came from a very conventional background. But this hippy atmosphere at school freed me to develop the innate creativity and imagination.
It’s possible that Cote de Pablo was always meant to be a TV star. After relocating to Miami, her mother found work at the Spanish-language TV network Telemundo.

De Pablo developed a deep personal interest in the arts and enrolled at Carnegie Mellon to pursue her passion.
Debut televised production:- She attended Carnegie Mellon University for the theater and music programs.
The House of Bernarda Alba, And the World Goes ‘Round, and A Little Night Music were just a few of the shows in which he appeared.
As far back as the year 2000, she was able to walk away with a BFA in performing and musical theater.
Cote de Pablo immediately followed in her mother’s footsteps and entered the entertainment industry.

“With it as a basis, the sky’s the limit. Without communicating for years,” de Pablo continued. “Really heavy-duty things can happen, and then suddenly you’re back, and you can pick right back up where you left off.”
When it came to working together on NCIS, De Pablo and Harmon got along well. The actress also admits she called him various things during filming.
When Cote de Pablo departed NCIS in 2013, fans were devastated. Years later, she said that leaving.
The show was a decision she made out of respect for her character, as well as “political things” and “scripts not being good enough.”

Before she came back to the stage, Mark Harmon had a surprise in store for her.
De Pablo and Harmon met secretly again after years apart, and the meeting was attended by the show’s executive producers.
In an interview with AOL in 2019, she recounted, “Well, I turn around, and I come outside come outside, and who do I see?”
I hugged him very tight, and he went all Cotes on me. It was a deep, sincere embrace that seemed like it hit me square in the chest.
Where does Cote de Pablo go from here? The 42-year-old actress has a background in both acting and music, and she discussed the possibility of performing in musicals in an interview with Prevention.
After leaving NCIS, Cote de Pablo starred in the documentary The 33 about the 2010 Chilean mining catastrophe. In 2016, she was seen in the film Prototype.
She also had a role in the miniseries The Dovekeepers. Cote de Pablo has been on NCIS as a guest star, but her most recent feature role came in 2019’s Seneca.
Ziva David, portrayed by Cote de Pablo, has a particular connection with Michael Weatherly’s Anthony DiNozzo on NCIS. Many viewers may have hoped the drama would continue off screen, but that hasn’t happened.
