These days, optical illusions are all over the web. Consider the worldwide craze for dresses a few years ago.
Another snapshot has been released that has folks scratching their heads and wondering what it all means.
The picture was taken by a Swiss artist named Tiziana Vergari and shared on Instagram, and it depicts a group of young women lounging on a bench with their backs against a wall.
The girls are all dressed similarly, in gray dresses and with their brown hair worn down. There seem to be thirteen young women in this photograph.
Closer investigation, however, reveals that several of the females have a striking resemblance. Indeed, it seems to be a repetition of two female voices.
Vergari, who entered the picture into an Instagram weekend contest called #Whpidentity, explained the situation to a confused follower in a comment.
Vergari said in response to @erin.thehuman, “One think it sure, that I only have two daughter.” Incredibly, there are just twelve females shown in the breathtaking shot.
Vergari had brought her girls shopping, and this photo was shot of them sitting on a bench in front of a wall of reflective surfaces.
Because of the mirrors, the shot seems to have more females than there really are. young women in this photograph.
The shot by Vergari caused such a stir online that she was shortlisted for a Shorty Award as Instagram Photographer of the Year.
