Clint Black’s scheduled headlining performance at the upcoming Black Gold Bash in Midland, Texas has been postponed, according to the Midland Reporter-Telegram.
The 1990s singer canceled his attendance at the event because of a health issue.
According to a Black spokesman, the singer “needs to undergo a procedure on his back before his performance,” and he won’t be able to perform while he recovers.
On June 7, the Black Gold Bash is set to take place, and Clay Walker has already been booked to replace Black as the event’s headlining act. The partnership event, which is in its fifth year, raises money to help oilfield sector families who are going through tough financial times or have medical problems.
According to Country Now, Black’s health issues will prevent him from performing at a few more dates of his upcoming Summer’s Comin’ Tour in 2023. Four events’ original June dates have been adjusted. These performances will now take place in Overland Park, Kansas; Catoosa, Oklahoma; Round Rock, Texas; and Fort Worth, Texas on October 1. 27, Dec. 28, Aug. August 4 and 15. 5 respectively.
In addition, Black’s scheduled performance in Abilene, Texas, for June 16 has been postponed.
The Winston-Salem Fairgrounds Annex in Winston-Salem, North Carolina will host the 2023 Summer’s Comin’ Tour’s debut performance on June 24, according to Black’s website. On his Circle Network show, Talking in Circles With Clint Black, the singer continues to host an all-star lineup of musicians in the interim.
