Everything has increased over the last 12 months, including the price of new clothes and the cost of food and beverages.
Because of this, a lot of people have taken drastic measures in an effort to save money as winter approaches.
However, a man's specific steak-saving tip has drawn criticism, with some even questioning its legality online.
I believe that in order to save a few pennies, we've all undoubtedly entertained intrusive thoughts about replacing price tags at the grocery store.
However, it doesn't mean we always do it.
In fact, a video posted on TikTok by @southcentraljag depicts a man who allowed some unwanted ideas to win.
It's not apparent who this particular gentleman is or what store he's secretly replacing price tags at. All that is known about him is that everything seems to be going really well.
Steaks can be somewhat pricey, as evidenced by the $7.84 price tag on a 0.94 lb. bottom-round package.
But this man was looking for a better steak—much better.
Thus, he made the decision to remove the $7 steak label and apply it to another piece of meat that would normally cost a consumer $41.
Even though they are ribeye steaks, $41 is a lot of money for this kind of food, but why?
Kelly Schmidt, CEO of Minnesota Beef Council, said they were "seeing record high cattle prices as well because the processors in the middle that need the beef to get to the restaurants and stores, they're really having to fight for that product."
