After an airline forced the expectant mother to clean up her children’s filth on a plane, Sydney Rae Bass’s husband, Anthony Bass, and sister, Jessie James Decker, supported the woman.

Jessie James Decker is speaking out in response to how her sister was handled on a recent flight.

The country singer, 34, vented her annoyance in an Instagram story that expired after her sister Sydney Rae Bass, 31, was “humiliated” on a United Airlines trip while accompanying her two girls, Blaire, 2, and Brooklyn Rae, 5. Sydney Rae Bass was traveling with Blaire and Brooklyn Rae.

“My sister, @sydneyraebass, contacted me from her United flight just now. As you know, she is five months pregnant, high-risk, and traveling by herself with her two young children. The flight attendant approached Sydney with a garbage bag and a wet wipe and informed her that the captain wanted Syd to clean up every drop after Blaire unintentionally spilled some popcorn on the aisle, she said.

“While everyone else watched, my poor sister was on her hands and knees sobbing in the aisle with her kids, feeling humiliated and weary. Well done, United.

On Decker’s Instagram Story, Sydney talks about the incident, and Decker asks Sydney who handed the girls the popcorn. “United did,” she said in reply.

“I’ve thought that Sydney just bought this popcorn from the tiny newsstand. According to Decker, United handed them both popcorn on the first trip for Sydney’s two flights.

Decker, a mother of three, questioned, “If popcorn is a hazard, why are they giving it out on airplanes? This is just y’all. She stumbled over her words, stating how the flight attendant had informed Sydney that having the popcorn on the ground would be a “safety hazard.”

Anthony Bass, a pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays, tweeted about the event on Sunday.

“The flight attendant@united just forced my 22-week pregnant wife, who was flying with a 5-year-old and a 2-year-old, to go down on her hands and knees to clean up the popcorn mess by my youngest daughter. Wow, are you kidding me?

Some fans who read the message felt it was the expectant mother’s obligation to clean up, while others thought the airline could have had its employees clean it up in its place.

She was flying by herself. two children. Pregnant. Just halt. All of our work. Crews carry out this task daily. This is popcorn. not vomit. Vacuums are fantastic,” commented one reader.

Commercial airlines are not your children’s playground, another commenter said. Take it up and be accountable for your children.

Chrissy Teigen added to the conversation on Twitter by observing that “comments unhinged from both sides.” There is a lot of passion being shown. 10/10.”

Later, Bass reaffirmed that they were negotiating a settlement with the airline. The couple announced that they are expecting their third child, a boy, this summer last month.
