A bride took to Reddit to reveal why she ended up making the tough decision to remove one of her closest friends from her wedding. It was just five days before her wedding, and the 23-year-old bride had put her Maid of Honor (MOH) in charge of planning her bachelorette party.

The bride had already envisioned the perfect party she would have wanted and hoped for a fun night out in a downtown hotel. She mentioned that most of her friends lived in the city but not downtown, and two had flown in for the special event. However, as the bride anticipated her bachelorette party, little did she know it would unveil a hidden secret that would change everything.
The weekend of the bachelorette party, her MOH picked her up, and the Redditor could not wait to see where the road was leading. Unfortunately, they ended up at her MOH's small town home, where they spent the entire weekend.

There were eight of them, so the town was a bit cramped for everyone. But the weekend festivities included a night of playing games and ordering pizza. On Saturday, they had a mimosa bar and went shopping, then parted ways on Sunday.
The Original Poster (OP) admitted, “It wasn’t the bachelorette party of my dreams or a particularly fun weekend, but it was ok, and I appreciated it.” At the time she was celebrating, her husband-to-be was on a work trip, so she was ready to catch him up on the weekend.
After she told him what the MOH put together, he was shocked but did not say much for the rest of the night. The next morning, the OP got a message from her MOH telling her she had something to tell her.

The days leading up to the wedding were meant to be a time celebration, but things took an unexpected turn, revealing a secret that threatened the two women's friendship. The MOH confessed that the OP’s fiancé had given her a large amount of money for them to have a week-long vacation out of town. The money was more than enough to cover flights, hotel, food, drinks, and activities.
While the OP’s fiancé had planned for a bigger bachelorette party, she still insisted that a weekend at a hotel would have been perfect. Regardless of how cramped and unexpected the weekend her MOH planned was, she was still fine with how it turned out.
But after finding out that her friend had been given the money a year in advance to make the party special, the OP felt betrayed. The MOH confessed that instead of using the funds as intended, she used them to pay off her credit card debt.
