There could be many reasons why some kids are on a first name basis with their parents. Maybe their relationship is strained or they do it for fun or simply that’s their dynamic. Maybe some kids have two parents of the same gender and they don’t want to confuse them everytime they yell mom or dad. Whatever the reason, they are free to do it as long as their parents are fine with it.
