Danielle Colby, who stars on “American Pickers,” lost a close friend or family member just days after her dream wedding to Kevin Scheuch.

This week, a famous person from the History Channel got married in Puerto Rico in a ceremony that looked like it came straight from a fairy tale.

In a sad Facebook post Danielle, who is 48 years old, told everyone on Tuesday that her father-in-law had died.

She shared a picture of herself with “Papa John,” who is the father of her new husband Jeremy.

When the picture was taken, the TV star and her partner were sitting on the front porch with their little dog in his arms.

They were sitting next to Danielle, her husband, his mother, and Papa John. They passed away quickly after the wedding.

She wrote her dad a long letter and told him, “Papa John, you spent your life fighting for and making miracles happen for the most vulnerable kids in your community.”

“When I met you for the first time, you and your elves had made a little girl with cancer’s dream come true by turning an airplane hangar into the North Pole.” She was happy, calm, and hopeful after talking to you. like the one you gave us.”

“You have always been there for me and believed in me even when I didn’t.” I also have faith in myself. You saw the good in me when other people might not have. She said, “You held me gently in your heart and let me open up to you.”

“We all know that takes me a while.” Danielle said, “You came out of nowhere to be with us, and you let us into your home when we needed your magic to help us get through hard times.”

“You’ve always loved strongly and cared a lot.” Christmas and other holidays were not very important to me as a child. You helped me understand them better. You never bought yourself something during these times. You gave other people the chance to benefit from your love, acceptance, and kindness instead.

After years of holding back, I finally told you how I really felt. It’s some of my favorite times with you, your family, and your son Jeremy. In many ways, Jeremy is just like you.

“I was so happy about that. It was hard to move forward with this wedding without you there. We cried so many times when little things made us think of you.

“Little magical moments that we had never experienced before, but suddenly the entire week of our wedding was filled with the most unexplainable magic in our surroundings, and the people who came to be with us, and the love we have for each other.”

You were always with us, even though you were in another country trying to get better. You saw every morning and evening sun. For every party and hug. Even though you’re not here with me, I feel you everywhere. Everywhere. At the end, she said, “Now rest.”

HOW JEREMY WROTE IT

Bryan, Danielle’s husband, also shared a post with a picture of himself as a child to remember the person he lost.

In the old picture, which was taken in the front yard with a much younger Papa John, the American Pickers star’s husband was just a child.

In the picture, the retired artist looked like a little kid. To stay warm, he wore a small red jacket.

“That was my dad.” Say hello to John Scheuch. He was born on June 28, 1953, and died on February 19, 2024. “Dear dad, you were the best person I could have sought out.””Being sad makes me write this,” Jeremy wrote under his picture.

Here, he wrote, “I don’t even know what to say right now.” I’m thankful to have the best wife by my side no matter what.

Danielle wrote to her husband below, “My heart hurts so much for you and your family right now.” He made people’s dreams come true when they needed it the most.

“He taught me a lot about showing kindness and making room for other people.” “I feel him everywhere, but most of all when I’m with you.”

“Thank you for bringing Papa John into my life and the lives of my kids,” she said.

The wedding for Danielle and Jeremy took place over the weekend in Puerto Rico. They had been engaged for almost four years and had been together for six years.
