Some couples just know they’re destined to be together, while others feel it was fate that brought them together for good. Then there’s Ed and Heidi Savitt.

They originally met in 2011, while both attending Newcastle University in the United Kingdom. Ed, a student living in Heidi’s former home, need assistance with the dryer.

He emailed Heidi to inquire how the dryer worked, and ever since then, they’ve become utterly inseparable, which led to their wedding.

They got married at the lovely but young age of 26-years-old.

Kay decided to say something in passing during the dinner party, which was also attended by Ed’s mother, Fiona. It was a story about a family sailing vacation to Turkey when Heidi was just six years old.

Heidi had a charming and cute “boyfriend” when they were on vacation, Kay remembered, whose name was similarly ‘Ed.’

She said:“The two cuties played together and held hands during the entire two-week break in Turkey!”

Fiona, too, felt it was a bit of a coincidence, and even crushed her wineglass since the names were the same, but she didn’t think about it much after that.

Kay, on the other hand, gave it a lot of consideration; when she got home, she expected to find out once and for all, one way or another!

Kay searched the attic for Heidi’s old pictures. Then, among her Heidi images, she discovered something interesting: a photograph of Heidi and Ed shot 20 years ago!

Kay showed them to Heidi, who had forgotten about her youthful romance long before.

Ed, a six-year-old boy, was with mom, and his face was instantly identifiable despite his extremely outdated bowl haircut.

Heidi added, “I was shouting; it was unbelievable. It’s weird to think we might have married, shared our lives, and then never found out about this.”

When Kay revealed Fiona what she had found out, the groom’s mother exclaimed, “Oh my goodness, that’s Ed!”

Heidi never imagined there was such a thing as fate, but now she believes. Fate must have worked its magic, bringing them back together!

Kay feels that when they met, they felt deep down that they had met previously and experienced a great time together, which is what likely brought them back together. Heidi agrees, and she now claims that the instant she saw Ed, she knew he was the one!
