Greenland’s leader snaps and issues 3-word slapdown to Donald Trump

Donald Trump’s interest in acquiring Greenland has sparked major protests in the island nation. Thousands gathered in Nuuk, Greenland’s capital, for what’s considered the largest protest in the country’s history. The demonstrations, with slogans like “Greenland belongs to Greenlanders” and “We’re not for sale,” also spread to other cities, showing widespread opposition to Trump’s comments.

Greenland’s acting Prime Minister, Múte B. Egede, delivered a strong message, saying, “Greenland is ours. We are not for sale.” He also emphasized that the pressure from another country on their land was unacceptable. Protesters criticized Trump’s behavior, with one saying, “He hasn’t shown good behavior” and highlighting that not all Greenlanders love the U.S.
