Dean Cain, Former Superman Actor, Joins ICE To 'Help Protect America' In Support Of Trump's Immigration Plan

He's shown his support for Trump’s immigration crackdown.

Dean Cain, known for his role as Superman in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, has made a significant announcement: he is joining U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to back Donald Trump's anti-immigration policies.

Dean Cain’s decision to join ICE is making headlines, especially as the agency ramps up enforcement under Trump’s direction. Raids and deportations have sharply increased across the country, drawing a lot of attention from both supporters and critics.

This news follows Cain sharing an ICE recruitment video on his Instagram, which then got a boost when Fox News host Jesse Watters featured it during a segment

Speaking on Fox News during a Wednesday night appearance, Cain talked about why he’s signing up with ICE.

He said, "I'm actually a sworn deputy sheriff and a reserve police officer – I wasn't part of ICE, but once I put that out there and you put a little blurb on your show, it went crazy".

It added, "So now I've spoken with some officials over at ICE, and I will be sworn in as an ICE agent, ASAP."

Cain believes that getting involved is the right thing to do. He wants to actively support Trump’s approach to immigration. In his words: "This country was built on patriots stepping up, whether it was popular or not, and doing the right thing. I truly believe this is the right thing."

He also made his thoughts clear on how he sees the U.S. immigration system right now. He stated: "We have a broken immigration system. Congress needs to fix it, but in the interim, President Trump ran on this. He is delivering on this. This is what people voted for. It's what I voted for and he's going to see it through, and I'll do my part and help make sure it happens."

Hoping to rally others behind him, he added: "I'm stepping up. Hopefully, a whole bunch of other former officers, former ICE agents, will step up and we'll meet those recruitment goals immediately, and we'll help protect this country."

Since Trump returned to office, ICE has become much more aggressive, and it’s stirred up serious controversy. Their daily arrest numbers are now around 3,000. That includes not only undocumented people but sometimes even folks with legal status—and in some cases, U.S. citizens.

This aggressive enforcement has caused major concern. Protesters, as well as people who’ve tried to film arrests, have ended up behind bars. Despite that backlash, Cain remains firm in his decision, saying that protecting the country matters more than the demonstrations.

He’s also taken heat for calling out changes in Hollywood. Specifically, he’s criticized how the character of Superman has evolved. Referring to the most recent version of the film, he described it as "woke."

During a chat with TMZ, Cain questioned where Hollywood is headed with all the reimagining of classic characters. He asked, "How woke is Hollywood going to make this character? How much is Disney going to change their Snow White? Why are they going to change these characters to exist for the times?"

Then, talking about Superman’s background, he added: "We know Superman is an immigrant – he's a freaking alien … The 'American way' is immigrant friendly, tremendously immigrant friendly. But there are rules … There have to be limits, because we can't have everybody in the United States. We can't have everybody, society will fail. So there have to be limits."

With Cain now planning to join ICE, he’s made it clear that he’s backing Trump’s stricter immigration policies. Whether you support him or not, his involvement in such a polarizing agency is bound to keep the conversation going across the country.
