Teddi Mellencamp takes fans into hospital room as she undergoes latest treatment amid Canc*r battle

Teddi Mellencamp took fans into the hospital room with her while undergoing another immunotherapy treatment amid her ongoing stage 4 cancer battle.

The 44-year-old reality star, who is the daughter of John Mellencamp, shared a photo to her Instagram Stories of her sitting in a hospital chair with an IV in her arm.

‘Immunotherapy Day,’ she captioned the image.

She previously confessed that immunotherapy has caused her to develop ‘severe anxiety’ and she reached out to her 1.2M Instagram followers for advice.

‘[I’ve been experiencing] severe anxiety on random days for no apparent reason,’ Teddi explained on August 14.

‘Like today, I was able to walk. I did the podcast and now I’m just sitting here full of anxiety. What are things that you guys have done to help make you feel better?’

It’s unclear when she started the latest round of immunotherapy.

In July, the star shared on an episode of her podcast Two Ts In A Pod that her current immunotherapy treatments have begun to make her feel worse than before she started them.

‘Essentially, what we figured out with me was, yes, I started out feeling great, and I could do all the pods and I could do all these things, and I could go to all my daughter’s horse shows and I could stay at my house by myself, and I felt really strong,’ she said while chatting with her co-host Tamra Judge.

‘And what’s happening with me is the longer that I’m on immunotherapy, the sicker it’s making me.’

Teddi said she had been consulting with her doctors on how to proceed, and they had decided to temporarily halt the immunotherapy treatments because they had been wracking her body ‘incredibly hard.’

‘We’re going to take a little break on the immunotherapy to get my body back feeling stronger,’ Teddi declared.

On August 20, she revealed her doctor discovered yet another abnormal spot – this time on her abdomen – during a routine skin check, which they promptly removed to get tested for melanoma.

Teddi’s illness originated as melanoma and she’s documented the years-long struggle of having over 17 spots surgically removed, mostly from her back.

The former reality television star has been documenting each step of her treatment and recovery with fans online.

The RHOBH guest star and her estranged husband Edwin Arroyave remain focused on their three children – daughter Slate, 12; son Cruz, 11; and daughter Dove, 5 – as well as his daughter Bella, 16 (with Christina Mecklenburg).

Teddi and the 48-year-old Skyline Security CEO continue to share their $6.5M Encino marital home after pausing their divorce 10 months ago due to her ailing health.

Mellencamp and Arroyave’s 13-year marriage reportedly crumbled after her rumored months-long affair with her horse trainer Simon Schröeder (while his wife Karli Postel was pregnant with their second child).

Postel reportedly ‘found text messages on Simon’s phone that exposed the affair’ and they confessed when she confronted them about it.

Despite her health and living situation, the Indiana-born Bravo-lebrity is actively dating men via the Hinge dating app.

‘I’ve never talked about it at all, just because of the kids,’ the Indiana-born Bravo-lebrity confirmed on The Jamie Kern Lima Show August 5.

‘And I’ve never wanted anybody to have a guarantee whether it happened or didn’t happen, but what I can say is, did I do things that hurt other people? Yes.’

Teddi continued: ‘To this day, does it still hurt my heart and I wonder if that’s why it got cancer? Yes, like it was my payback…nothing goes without payment.’
