Hollywood, CA – Authorities made a grisly discovery this week when they found decomposing human remains inside a Tesla belonging to R&B artist D4vd, also known as David Anthony Burke.
According to investigators, the body was discovered inside the vehicle’s front trunk while it sat in a Hollywood tow yard. Employees reported a foul odor before police confirmed the horrifying find — remains stuffed in plastic bags.
The Tesla, a 2023 model, had reportedly been in the tow yard for several days before the discovery. Video from the scene shows LAPD officers surrounding the vehicle with crime scene tape, a white canopy tent shielding the investigation from overhead news choppers.
While authorities have not yet identified the victim, TMZ confirmed the vehicle is registered to Burke, who was on tour and even posted on social media the same day, confirming the body is not his own.
Burke, who rose to fame with streaming hits like “Here With Me” and “Romantic Homicide”, currently boasts more than 2 million followers online. His second album, “WITHERED”, dropped earlier this year after what he described as years of “blood, sweat, and tears.”
The shocking find has fans stunned — and police are expected to question the singer once he returns to Los Angeles after his Minneapolis concert.

Detectives are now working to identify the victim, determine how the body ended up in the vehicle, and whether Burke or anyone close to him had knowledge of the crime.
“At this time, no arrests have been made. The case is being treated as a suspicious death,” an LAPD spokesperson told reporters.
