A terrifying home invasion scare in California ended in a dramatic street crash after a mother raced home to protect her family.
According to the family, the woman had just stepped out to grab coffee when she received a frantic call from her mother, who was home with the children. Moments later, she heard screams for help over the phone.
The suspects allegedly jumped the front gate, moved toward the back of the house, and attempted to access a sliding door — directly confronting the grandmother before fleeing.
Security footage shows the mother speeding back down the residential street. Seconds later, her Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon collided with the suspects’ white sedan as they attempted to escape.
Her husband, David, says the crash was not intentional, but stresses that his wife believed her family was in immediate danger.
“She thought they were going to hurt them,” he said.
Police later discovered a driver’s license inside the suspects’ abandoned vehicle, according to reports from Los Angeles Police Department. The investigation remains ongoing.
No serious injuries were reported.
