The cast of Back to the Future has reunited for some heartwarming selfies as they all caught up for a convention in Oregon over the weekend.
Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Thomas F. Wilson, and Lea Thompson were all in attendance at the Fan Expo Portland Convention, which is a three-day affair for pop culture buffs to meet their favorite celebrities and artists.
Fox, 61, Lloyd, 84, Wilson, 63, and Thompson, 61, were all there to represent the popular 80s franchise Back to the Future – in which they all starred.
The 1985 cult classic centered on Fox’s character Marty McFly as he time travels in a special DeLorean modified by mad scientist Doc (Lloyd). Two more movies followed – one in 1989 and another in 1990 – cementing its spot as one of the most successful film franchises in history, per CNN.
Thompson was all smiles with her co-stars as she posed alongside them for a sweet photograph, later posting it to her Instagram feed and stories. “Wow honestly had the best time today with my #bttf family,” she captioned the pic.

Fox also added the selfie to his Instagram stories, writing: “I love being at these FanExpo events and seeing some of my favorite people like Lea, Tom, Chris and all you #bttf heads. Heavy.”
Fox has had a difficult few years, having been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease during the 90s and battling with alcohol addiction as a way to cope with the illness.
In a recent AppleTV+ documentary about his life – which is set to be released later in the year – the actor and father-of-four said: “I didn’t know what was happening. I didn’t know what was coming. So what if I could just have four glasses of wine and maybe a shot? I was definitely an alcoholic. But I’ve gone 30 years without having a drink.
“As low as alcohol had brought me, abstinence would bring me lower. I could no longer escape myself,” he added, “You can’t pretend at home that you don’t have Parkinson’s because you’re just there with it. If I’m out in the world, I’m dealing with other people and they don’t know I have it.”
Sadly, he also revealed that his diagnosis has left him suffering with “intense pain,” saying: “I’m in intense pain […] People around me are going, ‘Be careful, be careful.’ And I’m like, ‘This has nothing to do with being careful. This happens.’”
Together with his charity – the Michael J. Fox Foundation – Fox has managed to raise millions of dollars to help fund Parkinson’s research, awarding close to $5 million to a biopharmaceutical company in 2022.
